The HearBuilder program is designed to build the critical auditory skills that students need to be successful in reading, and other academic learning. The program is customized for each student's needs. As students become successful at each level, they are automatically advanced to a higher level, to continue improving their skills.

 

HearBuilder is research and evidence based. The targeted areas were selected based on research that identified these skills as essential for students to be successful in school. In pilot studies, public school students using HearBuilder have obtained significant improvement in auditory skills by using the program 2 or 3 times per week for at least 8 weeks.

 

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

HearBuild is an online program that is accessed using software that is loaded onto your computer. There are also apps for Apple and Android tablets.  After you install the software on one or more devices, you can access the program anywhere that you have an internet connection, using your unique username and password. After you pay for your subscription, you will receive an email with directions for how to get the program set up, and our staff will help you get the program customized for your child. You can continue to use the program as long as needed, without any additional payment. (Note: Usernames and passwords cannot be shared among family members because HearBuilder keeps track of individual progress in the program.  Every time you log in, your child picks up from where they left off.)
